Reflection Meditation
I am reflecting on my time listening to the soothing voice of the man aiding in steps of how to Journey on in the quiet mind. I do believe this meditation will work after time but this time around I could not completely relax. I found though that I was aware of my body functions during this time and noticed that my muscles stayed super tense. It is as if I am on guard unconsciously about my surroundings. It is as I am protecting myself for whatever may come, this can be good but on the other hand is unhealthy for the body. This is related to stressful environments that I encounter throughout the days and over time the stress will create health conditions that I no longer will be able to control unless I learn to release these tensions. I do believe that now that I am aware I am in this physical distress that I will implement exercises to work with relaxing a little more so that I can find peace and balance the mind, body and spirit.
So where does stress come from the fast high pace society that America has become over the years. The images, media and messages that are sent out to its people is more more and more. Over time we start acting this way unconsciously and then create distress in our own lives. My message to all these kindred spirits that are struggling with time management and feeling the effects of life. Open up your mind, relax and find at least five minutes in the day for yourself. This is your gift and a step towards a positive state of mind and is essential for your health. So now that this is said I will make this a goal of my own. Who is with me?
